3 Firms Vie for Supremacy on Institutional Investor's 2015 Latin America Research Team
Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Itau BBA and J.P. Morgan Share Top Honors on Annual Ranking of Region's Best Sell-Side Analysts
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 08/04/15 -- Three firms -- Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Itau BBA and J.P. Morgan -- tie for first place on Institutional Investor's . Each firm earns a place in 23 of the survey's 25 categories.

However, when a weighting of four is assigned to each first-place position, three to each second-place position, and so on, J.P. Morgan is the undisputed champion, racking up a weighted score of 56 to BofA Merrill's 52. BTG Pactual -- which comes in fourth overall, with 19 appearances -- finishes third in the weighted results, with a score of 48, just ahead of Itaú's 46.
Credit Suisse is No. 5 on both rosters. It claims 14 positions and a weighted score of 33.
BTG Pactual earns the highest number of first-place positions for a second year in a row (and the third time in four years), with seven:
Agribusiness: Thiago Duarte & team;
Cement & Construction: Gordon Lee, Marcello Milman & team;
Chile: Alonso Aramburú, César Pérez-Novoa & team;
Electric & Other Utilities: Antonio Junqueira & team;
