Volkswagen Powers the Canadian Road Trip: Jetta and Golf Both Now in Top 10

With long road trips being a part of so many family plans, it is no wonder that sales at during the month of July were as strong as they were. A total of 6,618 new cars and light trucks were sold by the company, many of which have likely already taken part in their first cross-country adventure. Year-to-date sales of 43,592 put the company on pace for yet another annual record and are 14% ahead of last year's total (38,322).

Sales of the Jetta compact sedan continue to lead the way at the company, with 2,631 sold during the month. The redesigned now joins the Jetta on the list of the top 10 selling cars in Canada. Sales of the hatchback , and , along with the fire-breathing, all-new, 2016 totaled 2,014, making it the fastest growing nameplate in Canada.
