Older Homeowners Choosing Remodeling Over Moving
(firmenpresse) - SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/06/15 -- A recent study by the shows that many of our baby boomer generation are choosing to than move. Abbe Willie a research analyst on the Harvard research project said the trend is to remodel instead of incurring the expenses of moving. Another reason is the fact that there is a growing population of those over 55 years of age and the number of adults over 65 will increase by 35 percent by the year 2020.
Sergei Kaminskiy, owner , says, "Many of our baby-boomer and older clientele are choosing to remodel their homes instead of moving, many are focusing on accessibility and opening up the home. For many aging adults moving is simply difficult, they have roots in their community and memories that they don't want to leave behind. Sergei says, "Many of our clients, when they compare moving to remodeling, the home remodel simply makes more sense. By the time you factor the moving costs, the closing costs of selling and buying a new home, remodeling simply makes more sense."
