Ahold share buyback update

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, September 6, 2010 - Ahold has repurchased 701,058
Ahold common shares in the period from August, 30, 2010 up to and including
September, 3, 2010. The shares were repurchased at an average price of ? 9.6717
per share for a total consideration of ? 6.78 million. These repurchases were
made as part of the ? 500 million share buyback program announced on March
4, 2010.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 21,085,065
common shares for a total consideration of ? 213.8 million.
