All-In-One Solution for OPC Communication supports Windows 10
Softing Industrial Automation GmbH announced the release of the software update 4.04 of its solution for OPC Communication, dataFEED OPC Suite. The update includes support for Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system. For license holders of the suite who are planning to migrate to Windows 10, the update is free of charge.
(firmenpresse) - With the support of Windows 10 in the current update 4.04 of its dataFEED OPC Suite, Softing responds to the release of the long anticipated Windows 10 operating system from Microsoft and allows its licence holders a smooth transition without additional costs. "We strive to continually improve our product and to ensure that our customers are prepared for important technological developments as in the current case, Windows 10", says Andreas Roeck, Product Manager at Softing Industrial Automation. "We are very proud to be one of the first among the manufacturers of OPC solutions to offer our customers the support of the latest Windows operating system."
Softing‘s dataFEED OPC Suite combines OPC Server and OPC Middleware functionality into one compact software solution. The integrated OPC UA Server allows the simple integration of legacy and new controllers into “Industrie 4.0”* solutions. Components without OPC UA Server, like for example Siemens S5 controllers, can thus be easily integrated into OPC UA Client applications. The state-of-the-art graphical user interface with intelligent, common sense default settings and intuitive user guidance is designed to make it exceptionally easy for plant manufacturers and maintenance engineers to quickly configure OPC communications. The highly scalable dataFEED OPC Suite provides users with the flexibility to pick and choose only those components that perfectly fit the application requirements.
