Kesko's sales increased in July

Kesko Group's sales in July 2015 totalled ?778.0 million. In comparable terms
excluding Anttila, sales increased by 2.6% in local currencies.
"Kesko's sales continued to increase in July, though the circumstances were
challenging due to the changeable summer weather. We are particularly pleased
with the strong development in the building and home improvement trade, and in
the agricultural and machinery trade," says Kesko's President and CEO Mikko
Helander.
In Kesko's grocery trade, sales in July were ?402.7 million, a decrease of 1.1%
from the previous year in local currencies. The downward price trend continued
in Finland.
In the home improvement and speciality goods trade, sales in July were ?310.6
million, and comparable sales excluding Anttila increased by 8.7% in local
currencies. In Finland, comparable sales increased by 3.4%. Outside Finland,
comparable sales grew by 13.5% in local currencies. In the building and home
improvement trade, sales increased by 5.6% in local currencies. In the
agricultural and machinery trade, sales grew by 20.4%.
In the car trade, sales in July were ?63.1 million, a decrease of 2.1% from the
previous year.

23, which was the same as in the previous year. The total number of selling days
in January-July was the same as in the previous year. The number of retail
selling days in July was 31, which was the same as in the previous year. The
