John Pierce appointed Chairman of the Board

Global Bioenergies today announces that John Pierce has been appointed as the
new Chairman of its board of directors. John Pierce is an American veteran in
the field of Industrial Biology and was until recently the Chief Bioscientist at
BP plc (British Petroleum).
