Webtech Wireless Provides Update on Crown Telecom Litigation
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/02/15 -- Webtech Wireless Inc. ("Webtech Wireless" or the "Company") (TSX: WEW), a leading provider of GPS fleet management solutions has been notified by its Brazilian counsel that the plaintiffs in the longstanding legal dispute in Brazil filed an appeal following the decision issued by a Brazilian Court of Appeal in favour of Webtech Wireless; see press release dated May 14, 2015. Details of the appeal have not yet been recorded; once the notice of appeal has been published in the official gazette, Webtech Wireless will have 15 days to respond. The Company continues to believe that the appeal by Crown Telecom is without merit.
Further to the Company's press release of March 24, 2015, the Company has entered into a consent dismissal order without prejudice in respect of the lawsuit initiated by Rothschild Location Technologies LLC in the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Texas. This is in addition to the consent dismissal order similarly filed in respect of the claim by HTI Inc./ Networkfleet ("HTI"). As a result of these consent dismissal orders the Company is no longer involved in litigation with either of Rothschild or HTI.
