TAB Bank to Be Title Sponsor at 15th Annual Ogden Rescue Mission Charity Golf Tournament
(firmenpresse) - OGDEN, UT -- (Marketwired) -- 09/04/15 -- is pleased to announce that it will be the title sponsor at the 15th Annual Ogden Rescue Mission Charity Golf Tournament. The tournament this year will be held at the Wolf Creek golf course in Eden, UT on Friday, September 11th.
TAB Bank has been a sponsor of the Ogden Rescue Mission Charity Golf Tournament every year it has been held. The first tournament was held in 2001, where with TAB's help, $8,500 was raised. To date, the golf tournament has raised approximately $264,525 for the Ogden Rescue Mission. The last ten years have been the most successful in terms of dollars earned with a total of $227,500 being raised or an average of $22,750 per year.
"The first Ogden Rescue Mission Charity Golf Tournament was held in 2001 and raised $8,500 for the Mission. The tournament held at that money amount through 2004. Beginning in 2005, TAB Bank became more involved with the planning and execution of the tournament as the title sponsor. The amount raised that year jumped to $22,000 and we have sustained that level ever since. We are very grateful for TAB's involvement and contributions to the success of this fundraising event. We are also thankful to our many other corporate sponsors, partners, and friends who come together to make this tournament a success in raising funding and awareness for the Ogden Rescue Mission and the critical programs and services they provide," commented Trevor Morris, Director of the tournament committee.
The golf tournament is the major fundraiser for the Ogden Rescue Mission and provides necessary funds for this community-based organization to achieve its objectives. Each year more than 100,000 meals are prepared and served to poor and needy men, women, and children who come to the Ogden Rescue Mission's doors for help. Once inside, they realize that the Mission is so much more than a soup kitchen or a shelter. Additional services include a free medical and dental clinic, rehabilitation services, and so much more.
