Call for Papers and Early-Bird Registration Now Open, Creates a Vendor-Neutral Collaboration Space for Innovators, Developers and Node.js Users

(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/15/15 -- The , a community-led and industry-backed consortium to advance the development of the Node.js platform, today announced , a new vendor-neutral event that brings together a wide range of community, projects, products and companies to create an education and collaboration space. The event, which is being led by the newly formed Node.js Foundation in cooperation with the Linux Foundation, will be held from December 8-9, 2015 in Portland, OR.

Popular among enterprise developers and mobile app platform vendors, the runtime system used with JavaScript, is flexible, lightweight and easy-to-learn. As a result, Node.js has penetrated almost all ecosystems in technology, and the options keep multiplying as developers try out new and better ways to build websites and applications on the platform. It is also continually beating out Java and .Net as the platform of choice for new web, mobile and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. To evolve and meet new application and enterprise demands, the new release comes with ECMAScript 6 and ARM processor accommodations and combines the Node.js and io.js code bases.

"As the community continues to grow and enterprises like GoDaddy, IBM, PayPal, Walmart and others adopt it, Node.js Interactive will be a great breeding ground to share best practices for Node.js, and introduce novices and experts alike to the benefits of using this technology," said Mikeal Rogers, Community Manager for The Node.js Foundation.

To showcase the versatility of the community and the technology, Node.js Interactive will feature three tracks: Internet of Things (IoT), Front-End and Back-End. The conference is currently seeking speakers to share their Node.js experiences with the closing on September 24, 2015. The tracks are chosen and curated by seasoned veterans:

for IoT, a software developer / evangelist / advocate / educator / roboticist living in Austin, TX, who you can follow at: .

for Front-End, a GitHub developer and designer who loves open source, JavaScript & Node.js, and stories of Tudor England and is a Portland transplant.

for Back-End, who is all node, all the time and works as director of engineering at npm, Inc. in the Bay area.

The conference welcomes experienced developers as well as those exploring how Node.js might be of use to their business. Interested in joining? Registration details . Call For Participation page for any Innovators, developers and Node.js users who are interested in speaking at the event.
