Companies From All Over the World Join the After-Hours Event That Highlights Up-and-Coming Entrepreneurs

(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/18/15 -- , the only conference by and for Makers, today announced the roster of companies selected to demo products and prototypes during the "Evening of Innovation," one of the hallmarks of the event.

The "," which is presented by Sprout by HP, is a product showcase that features over 25 startups. These emerging businesses will demonstrate their products, ideas, or services. What's more, attendees will be treated to a fashion show from designer Danit Peleg, whose latest collection is entirely 3-D printed using home printers. Thud Rumble, a DJ team who introduced a suite of digital DJ tools developed in collaboration with Intel at MakerCon Bay Area, will perform. To add to the festive atmosphere, Brooklyn's Rooftop Reds, the world's first commercially viable urban rooftop vineyard, will be offering a tasting of their homegrown wine to guests.

"The Innovation Showcase infuses fresh energy into the event after a day of provocative panels. It's an opportunity for speakers and attendees to casually mingle as they meet Makers with exciting products and ideas," said Dale Dougherty, founder and executive chairman of Maker Media. "These prototypes may be the next big thing to make a mark in an existing industry or even create a whole new category. In the end, all Makers have the same intention -- to create something and share what they've learned through that experience with their peers."

Several companies are also shaking up the tech world with some of their newest products, on display for demonstration. These include:

Glowforge, a cutting machine that uses a laser beam to pierce wood, fabrics, leather, paper, linoleum, food and some plastics.

C.H.I.P., a $9 computer equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology, enables web browsing, document creation, and game playing. (And it's only the size of a matchbook!)

FLIR, the world leader in the design, manufacturing and marketing of thermal imaging infrared cameras.

Other companies sharing their latest innovation include:

Flyte

Smart Vision Labs

Haddington Robotics

QFusion

PlasmonLAB
