Media Advisory: Access Alliance Launches the Nahom Berhane Scholarship Fundraising Campaign to Honour Colleague and Community Leader Nahom Berhane
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 09/21/15 -- On Tuesday September 22, Access Alliance will launch the Nahom Berhane Scholarship Fundraising Campaign to commemorate their colleague Nahom Berhane, a passionate community leader who was killed on September 27, 2014.
Nahom Berhane worked at Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services as a health promoter. He was a passionate leader and advocate for community development and engagement, access to services, inclusion and diversity, as well as being a well-respected and much loved young mentor for many youths.
The Scholarship will provide assistance to youth in need of financial support and who are attending a post-secondary institution, including universities, colleges and professional trades training. To be eligible for a $4,000 scholarship, the ideal candidate must have a proven track record of volunteerism, community service and leadership in the community.
