Heijmans and Patrizia to develop 600 homes in The Hague

Heijmans, German investor Patrizia and the Municipality of The Hague have signed
a declaration of intent for the development and construction of approximately
600 homes along the Leyweg road in The Hague. The value of this agreement is at
least ? 80 million.
The agreement comprises the development and construction of approximately 600
homes, as well as commercial facilities and a parking garage near the renovated
Haga Hospital in The Hague South. The development concerns a mix of land-based
single family homes and apartments, owner occupied homes, as well as rental
homes. Thirty percent of the new homes is destined for social housing. Project
realisation is scheduled to start at the end of 2016.
The Hague is growing and there is a need for additional high-quality homes where
people can continue to live into old age. This project - with a diverse supply
of homes at a central location close to all healthcare facilities - responds to
this need.
