The DENSO BHT-1100 handheld terminal manufactured by DENSO WAVE, part of the Toyota Group and inventor of the QR Code and FrameQR Code, was first tested in the main warehouse of ADEL d.o.o. located in Ljubljana and proved to be very satisfactory and effective for their storage and logistics applications. Over the course of the following three years ADEL purchased a larger number of DENSO terminals of the model BHT-1100 for their other branches all over Slovenia. Since using the DENSO handheld terminals for their storage and logistics applications, ADEL d.o.o. perceived an effective improvement in their warehouse management flow. “With the DENSO terminals we have increased productivity, reduced costs and improved our employees’ satisfaction,” Marijo Jularič states. Especially the quick scanning ability of the DENSO BHT-1100 impressed the Slovenian company. DENSO has developed very precise mobile data capture software which is used in the devices. The employees were especially satisfied with the comfortable handling features of the BHT-1100 barcode handheld terminal. On the one hand, the very ergonomic slim shape of the scanning device can be operated by users with smaller hands or easily one-handed. On the other hand, another feature is that frequently used keys are located on the top part of the keyboard layout of the handheld terminals and are designed to be big enough in size to be comfortably operated by employees with large hands and wearing gloves. Additionally, the barcode scanner is equipped with a particularly large and bright screen that makes reading information on the screen uncomplicated also in bright sunlight or darker areas without causing eye-strain.
