Ahold share buyback update

Amsterdam, the Netherlands - Ahold has repurchased 872,750 Ahold common shares
in the period from September 13, 2010 up to and including September 17, 2010.
The shares were repurchased at an average price of
? 10.0298 per share for a total consideration of ? 8.75 million. These
repurchases were made as part of the ? 500 million share buyback program
announced on March 4, 2010.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 22,572,820
common shares for a total consideration of ? 228.6 million.
