ATLANTA, GA -- Oct 20, 2015 -- has launched the Founders Forum, a three-month initiative designed to help digital health startups launch a clinical or institutional pilot, connect with enterprise partners, and strengthen investment potential. Forge helps startups solve the most challenging problems in healthcare by connecting founders, clinicians, investors, and mentors.
"Forge is a nonprofit organization that powers Atlanta's healthcare startup community," said Dr. Arash Harzand, Forge Co-Founder and Director of Business Development. "The Founders Forum is our biggest effort yet in our mission to build relationships, identify unmet needs in healthcare, and help founders build transformative healthcare solutions."
Participants in the Founders Forum will have access to dedicated resources, including mentors, grants, networking, and demo opportunities. The program will begin in January 2016 and will take place in Atlanta. The Founders Forum will provide participating startups with free access to collaborative workspace and seed money ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 to help cover living expenses while in Atlanta.
"The goal of the Founders Forum is to connect more than 4-5 startups with mentors, healthcare stakeholders, tech industry leaders, and investors from across the country," said Shawna Hagen, Manager of the Founders Forum. "We are looking for teams and startups with two or more founders that have strong domain expertise, are primarily a software or a software/hardware hybrid company and can agree to relocate to Atlanta for the duration of the program."
The Founders Forum will conclude in March with pitches to investors, Chief Information Officers, physicians, and industry stakeholders.
