Carrier Class OpenStack Hybrid Cloud With Inter-Cloud WAN Connectivity
(firmenpresse) - TOKYO, JAPAN and VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/27/15 -- today announced that Release 1.0 is now commercially available to service providers and system integrators. Siaras first announced cloudScape at OpenStack Paris, November 2014, and has been working with partners to develop this general availability (GA) release. cloudScape is a Carrier Class OpenStack multi-cloud platform that integrates hybrid private and public clouds together with orchestration for inter-cloud WAN connectivity. Service providers and system integrators can deliver a hybrid cloud fabric to their enterprise customers, comprised of their own public or managed private cloud assets as well as third-party public clouds such as (AWS), , , and others. With the growing demand for hybrid clouds, service providers and system integrators need to address their customer requirements that span both the private and public realm.
"We have been working with our cloudscape partners to deploy a number of hybrid use cases, ranging from capacity bursting for our provider partners, through enterprise bi-modal IT, and multi-cloud applications such as global load-balancing and virtual datacenter migration," said Sig Luft, Chief Technology Officer, at Siaras.
According to IDC, more than 65% of enterprise IT organizations will commit to hybrid cloud technologies before 2016. A recent Equinix survey of more than 650 IT leaders in the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, Germany, Brazil and Australia reached a similar conclusion, finding that more than three quarters planned to implement multi-cloud architectures in 2015.
