ID: 430034

(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/28/15 -- On Thursday, October 29, the Fraser Institute will release a new study examining the risks related to hydraulic fracturing (or 'fracking') - the practice of injecting sand, water, and a relatively small quantity of chemicals deep underground at high pressures to extract fossil fuels.

The study, Managing the Risks of Hydraulic Fracturing: An Update, looks beyond the claims of anti-fracking activists and spotlights the latest government and academic research about the actual environmental effects of fracking.

A news release with additional information will be issued via Marketwired at 5:30 a.m. (Eastern) on Thursday, October 29.
