LILEE Systems Provides Comprehensive Positive Train Control Systems Management Solution to Third Class I Railroad
Systems Management Gateway Provides a Unified Management Solution for Wayside, Locomotive, and Back Office Assets Deployed for Train Control Applications

(firmenpresse) - SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/04/15 -- , the leading provider of advanced wired and wireless communication products, solutions and services for the transportation industry, announced the deployment of their PTC Systems Management Gateway (SMG) on its third Class 1 railroad as adoption of LILEE'S PTC enabling solution continues across the industry.
Built to the Interoperable Train Control (ITC) specifications, LILEE'S SMG provides end-to-end management, diagnostics, and health monitoring of the railroad's PTC and communications networks. The performance of Individual assets, such as wayside interface units (WIUs) and 220 MHz radios, can be monitored and trended over time to provide predictive maintenance capabilities and root-cause analysis. The SMG features remote software transfer capability, enabling a railroad to update firmware and other configuration information to thousands of devices across any available communication medium at the touch of a button.
SMG also interfaces with third-party enterprise systems and databases, enabling railroads to leverage the extensive investments they have already made into their existing IT infrastructure to support functions such as change management and version control. When coupled with the company's extensive family of systems management agents (SMA), railroads can also benefit from LILEE'S proven method for automating the provisioning of the ITC messaging system and management agents on wayside and locomotive assets.
"With our newest Class I customer for SMG, this is further validation of the applicability of LILEE'S Silicon Valley technology in the railroad industry. Our customers are aligning with a proven technology plan that will continue to evolve to proactively address the emerging realities of a railroad operating with Positive Train Control," said Kevin Nichter, Vice President of Rail Products and Services. "SMG is the first in a series of modular management and analytics platforms that are designed to simplify PTC network maintenance and proactively identify root-cause problems before they can cause an operational issues."
LILEE completed its first deployment of SMG on a Class 1 railroad in 2013.
