AgilePath Corporation Announces a Strategic Partnership With CGI
(firmenpresse) - NEWBURYPORT, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/08/11 -- AgilePath Corporation, a leading IT management and technology consulting firm, today is proud to announce its new partnership with CGI, a full IT service provider.
The partnership with CGI is focused on the delivery of Government IT contract services. The first engagement is a multi-year governance effort for the State of California Franchise Tax Board (FTB). AgilePath's main focus of work within FTB will be for the Enterprise Data to Revenue (EDR) project with an emphasis on enterprise governance, incorporating the EDR governance into a consistent fabric of governance across all of the FTB.
CGI Project Director for the EDR Initiative Ms. Gerri Magers stated, "We chose AgilePath to partner with us on the EDR project given AgilePath's experience and proven methodology on legacy modernization projects." EDR is a state sponsored program to focus on the California Tax Gap and improving tax collections throughout the state.
Governance is a key component of modernization efforts as companies replace legacy systems, expand their use of Service Oriented Architectures, and explore Cloud Computing. The AgilePath approach ensures a consistent application of best practices and institutional controls when organizations look to newer technologies to improve their business.
