Fish & Richardson Announces Dr. Martin Burda, LL.M., Joins Firm as Principal in Munich, Germany Office
(firmenpresse) - BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/09/15 -- announced today that , has joined the firm as a principal in the Patent Group in its Munich office. Previously, Dr. Burda was a patent attorney at the intellectual property (IP) law firm Mitscherlich in Munich.
Dr. Burda has been admitted to practice before the European Patent Office (EPO), German Patent & Trademark Office, German Federal Patent Court, and German Supreme Court since 2007. He will continue to focus his practice on opposition proceedings and appeal hearings before the European Patent Office; German and international patent, trademark, and design prosecution; nullity proceedings and patent infringement litigation before the German Federal Patent Courts; drafting patent opinions; contracts; and due diligence. Dr. Burda's technical areas of expertise include biotechnology, nutritional chemistry, stem cells, pharmaceutical sciences, genetics, tissue engineering, protein chemistry, medicinal chemistry, vaccine technologies, and medical devices.

Dr. Burda received his LL.M. in European Intellectual Property Rights from the University of Hagen in 2010, his Ph.D. from the University of Hamburg in 2002, and his Diploma in biology from the University of Regensburg in 1997.
