John Haniotis, Accept Software Senior Vice President, Products will present Innovation Jams: Lessons in Agile Product Development: An Experience Report on Wednesday, August 10 at 9:30 am.
The presentation reflects the experience of Accept Software in developing new product ideas in 3-4 day sprints, dubbed "innovation jams," and shares how Accept fostered innovation within its own organization. This talk will explain a how a crowdsourcing/Agile project that involved everyone who worked at Accept -- no matter what their job description or location -- resulted in a much more egalitarian culture, which both fortified its product team and accelerated its rollout of new innovations. As part of the project, 80% of company employees participated in a 2-week project to generate, screen, evaluate, and prototype ideas. All company employees had the chance to introduce new product ideas into the development process. The presentation will discuss how this collaborative project had a lasting impact on the Company's operating culture.
