Outotec to deliver two further waste-to-energy plants with operation and
maintenance services in the UK
Outotec has been awarded two further contracts for the design and delivery of
waste-to-energy plants to be built in the United Kingdom. Outotec has also made
12-year operation contracts for these two plants. Approximately EUR 43 million
has been booked in Outotec's 2015 fourth quarter order intake related to these
contracts. Within a year Outotec has won already seven waste-to-energy or
renewable energy plant orders in the UK.
Outotec's scope of delivery for both plants covers the license for Outotec
fluidized bed advanced staged gasification technology, engineering and delivery
of the main process equipment for 10 MW (net) energy as well as advisory
services for installation, commissioning and start-up. Once fully operational in
2017, both plants will consume annually about 80,000 tonnes of processed waste
wood and/or refuse-derived fuel.
Outotec also provides comprehensive operation and maintenance services for both
plants. After two years' preliminary work including the design process,
Outotec's personnel will operate the plants for ten years.
