King County to Hold First-Ever Online Auction for Tax-Defaulted Properties via Bid4Assets.com
Online Auction Will Be Held Dec. 9-10, 2015
(firmenpresse) - SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwired) -- 12/04/15 -- King County for the first time ever will utilize an online auction platform to conduct its annual tax-foreclosed property sale. The online auction, hosted by Bid4Assets.com, will include roughly 200 parcels where property taxes have become three years or more delinquent. Bids on these properties start as low as $1,778, and all auctions are without reserve prices, meaning that the properties will sell to the highest bid at or above the minimum bid.
The online auction will feature properties in Seattle, Renton, Bellevue, Vashon, Duvall, Enumclaw, Fall City, Maple Valley, Issaquah, Kent, North Bend, Kirkland, Kenmore, Federal Way and Skykomish.
"It is our hope that the online auction will help streamline the tax foreclosure process, effectively recoup past-due taxes, and make properties available to a larger group of potential buyers. Ideally though, we would like to receive payments from current property owners by the December 8th deadline so that we can remove their property from the auction list," said Property Tax Supervisor Mark Thompson.
