THIN - Private placement, status

Reference is made to the announcement by Thin Film Electronics ASA ("Thinfilm")
dated 30 September 2010, regarding a private placement for a total of between
10,000,000 and 23,314,000 new shares in the Company with a par value of NOK
0.11 per share.
The obtained indication of interest amounted to about 70 million shares. Actual
subscriptions have reached 55 million at 16 hrs Oslo time.
The deadline for the subscription for shares in the private placement is Friday
1 October 2010, at 18 hrs Oslo time, following which time the Board will make an
allocation of shares. The results of the private placement will thereafter be
duly announced in the Oslo Axess disclosure system.
