SAKL Continues Asian Expansion: Two-Day Event in Malaysia Sells Out
(firmenpresse) - SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- (Marketwired) -- 12/14/15 -- (OTC PINK: SAKL), announced that is has entered the Southeast Asian market through an international franchisee. Slide the City debuted its first event in Malaysia. There were more than an estimated 8,000 participants in attendance at the two-day event held on a freeway in Putrajaya, just outside of Kuala Lumpur.
"We're ecstatic to report such strong attendance for our first event in Malaysia. The Kuala Lumpur event, like our Hong Kong and Tokyo franchised Slide the City events, was an unbridled success. The mass attendance at each of these events clearly shows that Slide the City crosses cultural boundaries. Asia is a vast market that I believe Slide the City will be able to capitalize upon in a big way," stated Richard Surber, CEO of SAKL.
The event's title sponsor was Spritzer, Malaysia's best-selling natural mineral water. Spritzer's executive Vincent Chin presided over Slide the City's donation ceremony which awarded the National Kidney Foundation a generous donation in keeping with Slide the City's charitable giving policies. Additional sponsors of the inaugural event included Nivea, Uber, , GoPro, and two local radio stations.
Surber continued, "Building on the success our franchisee saw in Putrajaya, we expect to see Slide the City tour around Malaysia in 2016, reaching as many as six new locations. Our franchisee is working on plans to bring this one-of-kind experience to Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia. Having fun is universal, and we expect to see great results as we host a record number of events next year."
