Donald C. Templin Named MPLX President

FINDLAY, Ohio, Dec. 21, 2015 - MPLX LP (NYSE: MPLX) Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer Gary R. Heminger today announced that the Board of Directors of the
general partner of MPLX has named Donald C. Templin to the position of
president. Templin will also serve as an executive vice president of MPLX's
sponsor, Marathon Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: MPC). The appointment will be
effective Jan. 1, 2016, and he will remain in Findlay.
Also effective Jan. 1, Pamela K. M. Beall will become executive vice president,
Corporate Planning and Strategy at MPLX, reporting to Templin. She will also
remain in Findlay.

combined team dedicated to transforming MPLX into a large-cap, diversified
master limited partnership with a key role in our nation's energy infrastructure
build-out," said Heminger.
Templin joined MPC in June, 2011, as senior vice president and CFO. He serves
as a member of the Board of Directors of the general partner of MPLX.
