True Gold Announces Appointment of New Director

(TSX VENTURE: TGM) ("True Gold" or the "Company") announces the appointment of Mr. Mark Tomek as a Director of the Company. Mr. Tomek is a senior member of Boston-based Liberty Metals & Mining Holdings, LLC ("LMM" or "Liberty Metals & Mining"), one of True Gold's largest shareholders. He will be replacing Mr. Stephan Theron as LMM's appointee to the True Gold board. The Company would like to thank Mr. Stephan Theron for his contributions to True Gold over the past 18 months.
Mr. Tomek brings extensive experience in corporate finance, law and principal investing to the True Gold board. Prior to joining Liberty Metals & Mining, Mr. Tomek worked as an investment banker in Canada and England, focusing on mergers & acquisitions and mining, and practiced corporate and securities law in Toronto at a large Canadian law firm. Mr. Tomek holds an LL.B. from Dalhousie University (Schulich School of Law) and an MBA from the Ivey Business School.
