StillSecure Enhances Award-Winning Network Access Control (NAC) Solution
Safe Access(R) Now Includes CAC Authentication Support for U.S. Department of Defense Smart Cards, Faster Microsoft Patching Through Partner Integrations

(firmenpresse) - SUPERIOR, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 08/10/11 -- , a managed network security solutions and certified compliance company, today released an enhanced version of its award-winning Network Access Control (NAC) solution, . Available immediately, Safe Access now includes Common Access Card (CAC) authentication to support the Department of Defense smart card implementation, as well as updates that hasten the patching process on Microsoft operating systems through solutions such as Microsoft SMS and SCCM, HP Radia, LANDesk, and IBM Tivoli.
Safe Access is a certified NAC solution that stops unauthorized access, prevents malicious endpoint activity, and enforces an organization's security policies. It also helps companies comply with PCI, HIPAA, GLBA, FISMA and SOX. It is used by leading mid-market and large-scale enterprises, as well as federal organizations. Also, Safe Access is the NAC solution of choice for the world's largest NAC deployment (over 700,000 end users).
"By continuing to innovate in the NAC sector, StillSecure Safe Access continues to provide our customers with the highest levels of network security," said James D. Brown, Chief Technology Officer for StillSecure. "This new version provides a deeper level of security for not only our governmental customers, but also for our mid- to large-sized commercial customers. NAC continues to become easier to deploy, manage, and use and as a result we are seeing increased adoption in the market."
Safe Access provides control over how security policies are defined and enforced across a network. Further, Safe Access defines and enforces the rules and criteria for authorizing access to the network. The solution provides numerous access control options for devices that either meet or do not meet security policy, and for either guest or unmanaged devices.
Safe Access is optimized for deployment in DoD environments. IAVM threat codes are natively supported within the product and are displayed -- only for DoD authorized customers -- throughout the interface within access policies, reports and real-time testing and enforcement summaries. Specialized DoD specific MD5 file system checksums are also included in the product. Checks are also routinely created to support US Cyber Command mandates for threats and malware. Safe Access was the solution relied upon to rapidly detect and report on one of the most visible recent threats -- USB devices delivering malware.
Safe Access can be purchased directly from StillSecure, or through StillSecure
