UC Irvine Extension Offers New Tactical Project Management Course
Accelerated Curriculum Format Allows for Completion of Course in Just Three Days

To help project managers achieve this goal, the is offering , an accelerated project management course from March 17 - 19. This three-day, on-campus course focuses on key strategies and techniques to be utilized in the workplace to guarantee maximum success.

"This intensive course is specifically designed to deliver maximum impact without a significant time commitment, giving students the opportunity to understand and deliver tactical execution of project strategy in an accelerated format."
Offered for project management professionals at any experience level, the course suits those who need to effectively lead project strategy, while simultaneously focusing on project execution. Students will gain in-depth practical knowledge of how to translate the project plan into project success through tactical execution. Some of the topics covered in the course include: Value of Projects, Traditional Project Management, Project Complexity, Tactical Project Management, and Project Success.
Course instructor, Tim Covington, M.S., PMP®, has been a project engineer for The Boeing Company for more than 28 years, leading numerous projects in manufacturing, production, and engineering. He is currently a project lead in the "core engineering" organization for Boeing Defense Space & Security. Covington is an industry professional with achievements including Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification, a member of the Project Management Institute - Orange County Chapter (PMI-OC) and recipient of a Master's of Science degree in Project Management.
This course is offered for three days, Thursday to Saturday March 17 - 19, from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Students must have completed an introductory course, such as Introduction to Project Management Principles and Practices from UCI Extension.
