Barrick Announces Appointment of Kelvin Dushnisky to Board of Directors
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 02/17/16 -- Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE: ABX)(TSX: ABX) (Barrick or the "company") today announced that it has appointed Kelvin Dushnisky to the company's Board of Directors. Mr. Dushnisky has more than 25 years of international mining industry experience, with a focus on project development and public affairs. He joined Barrick in 2002 and was appointed President in August 2015 with overall responsibility for execution of the company's strategic priorities. Mr. Dushnisky is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Acacia Mining plc and represents Barrick at the World Gold Council, the International Council on Mining and Metals and the Business Council of Canada. Prior to joining Barrick, he held management positions at EuroZinc Mining Corporation, Sutton Resources and Rescan Consultants. Mr. Dushnisky holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Manitoba, in addition to a Master of Science degree and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of British Columbia.
