Evolving Enables Leading Carrier in India to Achieve a Faster Return on LTE Network Investments by Reducing the Time and Cost of Migrating Subscribers to 4G

(NASDAQ: EVOL), a leader in real-time activation, analytics and marketing for connected mobile devices, today announced that a leading mobile operator in India is using Evolving Systems' (DSA) solution to power its accelerated 4G adoption program.
Mobile operators in all parts of the world have made huge investments in building 4G LTE networks. The top priority for most operators following these investments is to grow their 4G subscriber bases, drive usage of high-speed mobile data services, and increase revenues to see a rapid return on their 4G investments.
Evolving Systems is working with mobile operators to accelerate their 4G adoption programs. In India, this included a full-page advertisement on the front page of the country's largest business newspaper that bundled a 4G SIM card with every copy. The operator was able to do this because with DSA their SIM cards are provisioned in the network only when they are first used. This means cards can be freely distributed, with no constraints or unnecessary costs imposed by number resource availability or network capacity.
Evolving Systems' 4G Acceleration solution can also ensure that operators make cost-effective use of their LTE capabilities. The solution determines whether a SIM is being used in an LTE capable device or not, and only activates LTE service when it can be used.
