Company Prepares Kiddie Voice(TM) Systems for Louisiana Schools
(firmenpresse) - SHREVEPORT, LA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/11/11 -- ATWEC Technologies, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: ATWT), a US-based child safety company, today announced that it held a training seminar at the yesterday, where it presented its child reminder safety devices to key school administrators.
The Louisiana State Head Start Project is a comprehensive family-focused child development program that offers education, health, parent involvement and social services for low income families and their children. Head Start serves over 1,000,000 children with a total budget of $7 Billion dollars.
One of the primary topics of the Head Start conference is the July 1 passage of Bill 572, which requires child safety alarms on vehicles that transport children in Louisiana. The new law goes into effect immediately, and will be enforced as of May 1, 2012.
The Company's short-term marketing plan is to reach schools throughout the 64 parishes in Louisiana. By focusing on the retro-fit market and installing its systems on buses and vans that are already in use, the Company expects to contract with many school systems and day care centers with multiple locations.
