Surgery May Not Be The Most Immediate Option For Back Pain

A large review reveals that both stretching and strengthening exercises could help improve low back pain by 19 points on a 100-point scale. There are also activities such as abrupt twisting or jerking that should be avoided since they can worsen back pain.
Experts also discourage resistance training for sufferers or low back pain. However, they may engage in walking, strength training, and aerobic exercise for 2 hours and a half every week. Bed rest is also recommended as it is believed to relax the muscle and reduce pain.
