Wind power: TÜV Rheinland hands over Type Certificate to Leitwind
Type certification of 1,5 MW-turbine in accordance with international standard GL 2010.

(PresseBox) - TÜV Rheinland has handed over a type certificate to the Italian wind turbine manufacturer Leitwind. The certification was done on a 1,5 MW-upwind turbine model LTW86 which is to be sold on international markets. Amongst others the manufacturer in particular eyes at the Indian market where a considerable number of Leitwind turbines were installed since 2008.
The GL2010 Guideline for the Certification of Wind Turbines was applied as certification standard. ?With strong efforts the certification process was successfully concluded in due time and we are more than satisfied that Leitwind values our strengths by combining our central European certification hub with our local presence in India?, says Frank Witte, Global Business Development Manager Wind Energy at TÜV Rheinland. ?As a result it is much easier for customers to achieve the required Indian product approval by the Indian authorities?, says the expert.
