Berlin/Düsseldorf, October 2010 - From the 5th to the 7th April 2011, EURO ID
will connect people, business and technology at the Messe Berlin trade fair
grounds. The leading European trade fair for automatic identification was able
to welcome around 100 exhibitors and over 3,400 specialist trade fair visitors
to this year's event in Cologne. EURO ID 2011 is a must for experts and
decision-makers who want to keep well informed about the latest trends in the
areas of RFID, sensor technology, 2D codes, biometrics, barcodes, secure
identity and card systems. The organisers of the trade fair have chosen Berlin
as the location for next year's event.
Berlin supports EURO ID 2011 on a broad basis
"Berlin is the right choice", says Jens Oliver Mayer, Managing Director of the
event's organisers Informa Business Communication from Düsseldorf, about the new
location for the trade fair on the Messe Berlin trade fair grounds. "The change
of location marks an important step for EURO ID 2011 towards a successful
future. As Germany's capital city, Berlin is the chosen location for the
headquarters of many decision-makers and has established itself in the face of
international competition as an attractive destination for companies from the
high-tech sector and for modern service providers", explains Mayer, who is
pleased about the broad level of support from Messe Berlin, as well as from the
Berlin Senate, the Brandenburg Economic Development Board, the Berlin Partner
GmbH and the Enterprise Europe Network Berlin-Brandenburg.
The trade fair organisers are using the opportunity provided by the change of
location to present new offerings, for example, themes such as security, secure
identity, access controls, personal and object security and chip cards are to
receive a greater emphasis. This will result in growth in terms of visitor and
exhibitors numbers of between 10 to 15 percent. The opportunities for using the
trade fair as a contact exchange platform via the successfully introduced
Business Matching services will be expanded.
