Expansion of market shares with an own subsidiary
Waldenburg, 19 October 2010 -R. STAHL AG, Waldenburg, took over its long-
standing sales partner Robert Nissl Ges.m.b.H., Vienna, on 1 October 2010. With
this move the expert in explosion protection, based in Waldenburg, establishes
an own subsidiary in the attractive Austrian market and thus improves its access
to local customers in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and in the oil
and gas industry. From the central location Vienna these customers can be
supported even better. The new company will benefit from the long-standing
competence of Nissl in the market for electrical explosion protection and their
experience with the R. STAHL product portfolio. The existing ATEX-approved
workshop enables short-term fulfilment of customer's requirements.
The owners of Robert Nissl Ges.m.b.H., who were looking for a suitable
successor, decided to sell to an internationally well placed group. R. STAHL's
extensive product portfolio and the global marketing network will enable further
growth.
The management expects to double the market share in Austria in the medium term
with the new subsidiary.
Managing director of R. STAHL Nissl GmbH will be Rüdiger Koch, an experienced
sales manager of R. STAHL with explicit knowledge and know-how in regard to the
Austrian market.
