alpha-En Corporation Signs Lease for New Product Development Center and Corporate Headquarters
(firmenpresse) - TARRYTOWN, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 03/23/16 -- alpha-En Corporation (OTC PINK: ALPE), an innovative clean technology company enabling next-generation battery technologies through the production of high purity lithium metal, announced today it has signed a lease for a new, 8,000 sq. ft facility in Yonkers, New York. This facility will serve as the company's innovation and product development center as well as its global headquarters and corporate office.
"Securing our own product development center is a significant milestone for our company and a major step forward in advancing and commercializing our high purity Lithium products," said Steve Fludder, CEO of alpha-En. "Having validated our core technology with our research partners, we now move into our own dedicated facility where we will operate our advanced process, produce commercial product samples for our global customers, and orchestrate our research and scale-up collaboration with our network of partners; Argonne National Laboratory, Princeton University and the City University of New York."
alpha-En's new facility is located in the innovative iPark Hudson technology and office campus which was the original manufacturing headquarters for Otis Elevators. alpha-En's 8,000 sq. ft space boasts 25 foot ceilings and will be designed with high-tech clean rooms for the laboratory and process equipment as well as executive office space for the global operations of the company. The facility is conveniently located in the revitalized downtown section of Yonkers, with convenient access to all New York airports as well as New York City via the Metro North and Amtrak rail lines.
