Weicon Easy-Mix PE-PP 45 black
(PresseBox) - Weicon from Germany now offers a black version of Easy-Mix PE-PP 45, a 2-component construction adhesive on basis of methyl acrylate for high-strength bonding of low energy plastics.
PE-PP 45 is suitable for various plastics such as PE, PP and TPE. Even with rigid PVC (polyvinyl chloride), PA (polyamide), PC (polycarbonate), ABS (Acrylnitrilbutadienacrylate), PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate), fiber composite material (GFK, CFK, fiber reinforced plastic, etc.) as well as other materials can be Easy-Mix PE-PP 45 used as "universal adhesive". Pre-treatment of surfaces to be bonded is not necessary.
Low-energy plastics such as PE and PP, are increasingly used in almost every industry because of their specific properties, such as malleability, elasticity, breaking strength, temperature resistance, heat resistance and chemical resistance.
When bonding these plastics the surface had to be treated mechanically (grinding, blasting, etc.), chemical (fluorination) or physically (flaming, corona, plasma).
No pre-treatment required
With Easy-Mix PE-PP 45 this pre-treatment is not necessary. The "integrated primer" of the adhesive activates the surfaces and allows high-strength bondings.
In particular, PE and PP can be bonded with strengths up to material failure. PE-PP 45 is suitable for both individual applications as well as for small series and industrial series production. These include bondings and repairs on small machines, signs and displays, speaker components, battery cases, plastic tanks and other plastic parts.
Properties of PE-PP 45
The adhesive has a short pot life or processing time, reaches handling strength quickly and a high final strength. It is residual elastic, resistant to aging and against many chemicals and has a pasty and stable consistency.
