Steve Forrand, Vice President of First Coast Logistics Passes Away Suddenly
Logistics Industry Leader Had Recently Moved to Hampstead, NC
(firmenpresse) - JACKSONVILLE, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 03/28/16 -- First Coast Logistics this morning shared the sorrowful news that Steven 'Steve' Forrand, a Vice President with First Coast since 2007, suddenly died on Easter Sunday.
"Steve was a valued member of the First Coast family, instrumental in deepening and growing relationships for us with so many customers and partners in transportation and logistics. He was a respected leader in this industry and a good friend that will be sorely missed," said First Coast president H.R. 'Buddy' Bowser.
A native of Boston, Mass., Steve began his transportation industry career in high school, loading and unloading trucks. After attending Northeastern University, he joined Sea-land Services where he held increasingly responsible sales roles for the growing company over 10 years. In 1990 he joined Hale Intermodal Transport Inc., serving again more than 10 years, ultimately as Senior Vice President of Sales. He led business development at Grove Logistics for five years before joining First Coast Logistics in 2007.
Steve moved in April, 2015 with his wife, Donna Baldwin, to Hampstead, North Carolina, and is survived by his wife in NC and three daughters in Massachusetts.
