De’Leon’s portrayal of the mother to the starring role of "Rilla" played by Jamal Woolard, is fraught with the type of anguish only mothers have nightmares about. Her effortless ability to express a mother's grief over the loss of her child to street violence is gut wrenching in its honesty.
