FINANCIALS GATHER FOR SUSTAINABILITY
TBLI CONFERENCE(TM) hits London for the first time
On November 11th & 12th 2010, TBLI CONFERENCE(TM), the largest annual global
networking and learning event on ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and
Impact Investment, celebrates its London premiere. This year's opening speaker
is Empire State Building-owner Anthony E. Malkin whose keynote will showcase the
iconic building's groundbreaking $20 million energy retrofit project, which is
part of a more than $500 million building-wide upgrade program. Malkin will
speak about the innovative work led by the team comprised amongst others of the
Clinton Climate Initiative in developing a replicable, transparent, quantitative
model for return oriented energy efficiency retrofits in the existing built
environment.
The two-day conference will address all aspects of the fastest growing forms of
investing, which combine risk reduction with both financial and social and
environmental benefits. ESG is fundamental to far-reaching sustainable
development, while also offering solutions to global problems as climate change
and poverty. TBLI CONFERENCE(TM) EUROPE 2010 is expected to bring together about
700 international ESG professionals, featuring two Roundtable Plenary sessions
and twenty-five workshops by innovative experts and professionals of industry,
finance and government.
OIL & GAS SECTOR PRESENTING
Amongst the twenty-five workshops one discusses the ESG performance of the Oil &
Gas sector. Leading Oil & Gas producers such as Royal Dutch Shell and Statoil
ASA will discuss their sustainability programs and strategy going forward.
