blue PiraT – Multi Data Logger
blue PiraT and Remote Control Voice(firmenpresse) - (Munich, 14.08.2009) The increase of different bus systems in the automotive industry pushes the error diagnostics and analysis more and more in the center of attention. As laboratory tests are not sufficient to reproduce customer-oriented conditions and communication in vehicles occurs via multiple electronic control units, Telemotive has developed the blue PiraT – a Multi Bus Data Logger for CAN, LIN, FlexRay, MOST (25/150) and serial interfaces, which can be used in the laboratory as well as on the street. The data of the different bus systems are stored with synchronous time stamps on a 40 GByte hard disk and can be selectively downloaded after the test via Ethernet. The blue PiraT was especially developed for the requirements of the automotive industry. Beside the operating temperature of -20°C to +70°C the Data Logger is characterized by electromagnetic compatibility, vibration-resistance and a compact design. To counter the limited electric power supply in a vehicle, an automatic power management controls the blue PiraT. After a configurable time without data reception, the Data Logger switches into stand-by mode; with bus activity the Logger immediately starts recording. Additionally the blue PiraT is able to bridge voltage drops up to 2s. Furthermore a comfortable handling for the tester is primary focused. Therefore the “blue PiraT Client” – beside the data download the configuration of the Data Logger is accessible here – and additional accessories like the Remote Control complete the product range.
