The app will be initially available to graduate program candidates using iOS and Android smartphones. Support for undergraduate candidates is expected later in June.

Using proprietary technology, Umatch uses dimensions of personal information and preferences to suggest which schools and programs are the most precise fit for the student.
Once the student has identified which schools and programs he is most interested in, Umatch makes it a snap to learn more about each one, and to directly connect with the admissions department. Applicants that connect through Umatch now become known to admissions departments and officers as being familiar and interested in a specific school, a key component in the admissions process.
