Device relaunch for LAUDA Ultracool Mini circulation chiller

(PresseBox) - The leading global manufacturer of innovative temperature control devices and systems has optimized and re-launched its range of circulation chillers for versatile operation in laboratory, Miniplant and industrial applications. The new UC 2, UC 3 and UC 4 type process circulation coolers operate within a temperature range of -5 and 25 °C. The size of the device has been reduced considerably compared to the previous models. The optimized device geometry now guarantees good accessibility to components that require regular maintenance. The chiller can now be operated within a broader ambient temperature range of 0 to 50°C. One completely new feature is the option of installing the circulation chiller outdoors at ambient temperatures as low as -15°C.
The circulation chiller is available with three different cooling outputs of 2.1 kW, 4.1 kW and 4.9 kW. All devices are fitted with a hermetic compressor and a centrifugal pump. The nominal pressure ranges from 2.8 to 3.3 bar, while the nominal flow is between 5.6 and 13.8 L/min, depending on the device type. The extremely quiet pump operates with a very flat flow rate/pressure characteristic. An integrated bypass regulates the system flow automatically without jeopardizing the pressure and allows flow rates of 0 to 100 per cent.
Optionally, the devices can be controlled remotely via the Modbus interface or equipped ex works with IP protection 54 for outdoor installation. Examples of other options include an increase in temperature stability from ±2 K to ±1 K, an external bypass and a water-cooled version. The devices are equipped with a 230 V/50 Hz power supply ex works. A 3-phase power supply is also available ex works as an additional option. Applications for LAUDA Ultracool Mini circulation chillers include cooling laser sorting machines, vacuum pumps or small lasers, for example.
