American College of Education Announces Alumni Scholarship Program Allowing Graduates to Assist New Students

(firmenpresse) - CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 08/16/11 -- "Teachers helping teachers" defines the new Alumni Scholarship Program announced today by the . Sponsored by the college's Alumni Association, the Alumni Scholarship Program allows ACE graduates to gift tuition scholarships to fellow educators.

"We are pleased to have the as a vehicle for graduates to 'pay it forward' to other fellow teachers and share the opportunity to achieve an affordable and relevant master's degree with others," said , president of American College of Education. "This new scholarship program helps ensure our institution's commitment for educator growth remains strong for future decades."

Students recommended and nominated by an alumnus who are accepted and enrolled for admission into the College will receive a scholarship to pursue their own master's degree program from American College of Education in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction or Educational Technology.

Eligible scholarship recipients are those who are referred and nominated by an ACE alumnus, new students enrolling into one of the College's master's degree programs and who meet all the requirements for admission into American College of Education. Graduates can give as many scholarships as desired, all given in the name of the graduate. The grants will be applied toward tuition costs, regardless of financial need. Nominees will be notified within 24 hours.

The Alumni Association is endowed by American College of Education, in honor of its alumni and their achievements in the classrooms across the nation. Scholarship recipients can begin work on their master's degree immediately. on September 5th and the admissions deadline is August 29th.

Teachers will learn from leading educators, study the most current research and receive the tools to apply proven methods in their own classrooms. Programs available include: , , , , , and . In addition, the following programs with concentrations are also available: , , M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with a K-6 Common Core Mathematics Standards Concentration, and M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with a Digital Learning and Teaching Concentration.





Master's degree programs can be completed in only 18 months with no G.R.E. requirement and tuition as low as $6,370 with scholarship applied.
