Mojang Partners With Skrill to Extend International Payment Options
Leading independent studio works with Europe's leading online payment provider to increase international payment offering

After the huge critical and commercial success of Minecraft, Mojang were keen to increase the scope of their global payment offering.
Minecraft has been a runaway success since its launch in 2009 and currently has 11,967,488 registered users of which 3,145,872 (over 26.28%) have bought the game.
The continued demand for the game from across the globe has lead Mojang to partner with Skrill, Europe's leading online payment provider, which has over 19 million account holders globally and gives access to over 100 payment options in over 200 countries and territories, processing in over 41 different currencies.
By partnering with Skrill, to control their online payment services, Mojang has been able to integrate all of Skrills global and local payment options including debit cards, credit card and the eWallet options. Mojang now see traffic from 112 countries across the globe showing the global appeal of Minecraft.
