Software Vendor Works with acrolinx to Improve Information Quality

August 18, 2009. acrolinx announces the deployment of the acrolinx® IQ software to more than 200 customer support staff at Adobe Systems Incorporated, following a very successful roll-out to 95 technical writers, editors, and managers last year. Adobe uses the acrolinx IQ software to improve the clarity, consistency, and translatability of their customer-facing content.

High-precision linguistic engines discover new terminology across languages and feed it automatically into the acrolinx® IQ system. The system supports web-based workflows for validation and deployment to writers and translators across the organization at the press of a button. Terminology Lifecycle Management not only ensures consistency and brand identity in documentation, but also enables companies to store translations, pictures, and help texts for their terms. It provides the most powerful cross-lingual search and filter functionalities of any terminology management system on the market today.
acrolinx® IQ Intelligent Reuse™ clusters sentences stored in a Translation Memory or Content Management System according to meaning. It then checks them for quality and proposes a representative from each cluster. After validation, the software suggests the representative sentences to writers in real time whenever they author text similar to that of the representative sentence. Although in its early phases, the new functionality has already proven to reduce redundancy by up to 30%.
