International Health Experts to Discuss Primary Care Issues at Edmonton, Alberta Conference
(firmenpresse) - EDMONTON, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/17/11 -- Around the world, research and practice show that effective and accessible primary care services improve health outcomes, help people live healthier lives and boost productivity in the overall health system.
The Accelerating Primary Care Conference is one of Canada's premier events in primary care held annually in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and attracts over 400 participants each year. Leading primary care professionals from the national and international community will come together in October to communicate information and gain new insight in primary care service delivery.
The goal of the conference is to provide opportunity for new research and knowledge to be shared by experts in primary care, to highlight Alberta's leadership in primary care in Canada and to encourage and prepare practitioners to revolutionize their practices and policies to improve local services and outcomes.
The conference begins with two thought provoking workshops followed by two days filled with sessions chaired by national and international primary care experts who have been invited to further develop the four conference themes:
