Government Professionals Rally for a Fair Contract

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 06/10/16 -- On the eve of National Public Service Week, members of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) held a rally to call for a fair contract with the federal government.

"The best way for the government to celebrate National Public Service Week is to offer our members a fair contract that makes up for lost time," said PIPSC President Debi Daviau. "The issues we fight for are crucial to all Canadians. We're ready to get results and we won't be pressured into signing a deal that doesn't address our very reasonable priorities."

PIPSC members are ready to get results on:

"We're fighting for the right of every Canadian to receive vital public services in an efficient and effective manner," said Daviau. "And we're ready to bargain."

The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada represents some 55,000 scientists and other professionals across Canada's public sector.
